About This Course


This course will take you on a journey through pursing a career in holistic health! We will discuss the differences and similarities between holistic health, conventional medicine, and integrative health. We will also cover challenges you may encounter on the path to a career in holistic health. This course will also give you insight on the health crisis we are facing globally, as well as the importance of such a career. You will briefly learn about what Islam teaches us about our body, shocking facts about the food industry today, and Sunnah foods, treasures from the Qur'an and Sunnah that could prevent or reverse many diseases. This course will also provide you with opportunities to share any questions you have about a career in holistic health.

Noor Salem

BEAMx Teacher
Noor Salem is an author of six books, speaker, and a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. After earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan within two years, she successfully received her graduate certification as a holistic health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest educational institution for nutrition. Noor has been working with clients for years through her wellness practice, Holistic Noortrition, on healing naturally from issues including, but not limited to, allergies, migraines, food intolerance, arthritis, infertility, weight loss/gain, thinning hair, and insomnia. She conducted workshops, lectures, and group coaching classes in countless faith-based organizations, conventions, and universities nationwide, including MAS-ICNA, Al Maghrib Institute, and ICNA. She authored Sunnah Superfoods, Sunnah Superfoods for KIDS, Sunnah Superfoods for Baby: Arabic Version, and Sunnah Superfoods: The A to Z of Eating Healthy. Her hobbies include photography, hiking, and poetry, Imam al-Shafi’s Diwan being amongst her favorite.
