About This Course

This course will take you on a journey to comprehend the importance of self-care from the Qur'an and Sunnah! Today, we find heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity ubiquitous in society among younger and younger generations. With the increase in social media platforms, self-esteem and mental health struggles are more prevalent in society. We will discuss the importance of taking care of our physical health, while not neglecting our spiritual state and emotional wellbeing. We will cover self-esteem, seeking our dignity and validation through proper channels. This course will serve as an opportunity to ask questions or share any challenges or reflections you may have. You will learn about what Islam teaches us about our body, how eating healthy can earn you good deeds, and how you can care for your health while still enjoying traditional food.
